Most of our visitors travel by Tromsø before arriving at Lyngen North. From Tromsø you can make your way here by flight, The Arctic Route, public bus or rental car.
How to get to Tromsø International Airport
Tromsø Airport (TOS) has many flights to/from Oslo (OSL) each day and some weekly/seasonal direct routes from London Gatwick (LGW), Frankfurt (FRA), Coopenhagen (CPH), Helsinki (HEL), Gdańsk (GDN), Stockholm (ARN) and Alicante (ALC).
The main airlines operating at Tromsø Airport are: Norwegian Air, SAS and Widerøe.
December – March
During the winter season (December – March), the best alternative is to travel with The Arctic Route from Tromsø. You can book your tickets together with your stay at Lyngen North. The Arctic Route has daily departures from the city center at 9am/09.00 with arrival at Lyngen North at 12.30. The bus will bring you all the way, so you can just relax and enjoy the onboard service and landscape while the bus brings you safely all the way to Lyngen North. April – November
From Tromsø there are daily bus departures at 2.10 pm (except for Sundays) and 4 pm (all days). The coaches offer seat guarantee, so you do not need to book a ticket in advance. Lyngen North offers pickup from the closest bus stop in Djupvik. See our travel guide below for more info.
